from emma's kitchen
Thank you so much for finding my little platform of cakes and cookies. I am often asked how I got to where I am, and truthfully I am living my dream of dreams since I was very young. In high school, I attended and graduated from Monroe Technology Center's Culinary Arts program (now AOS). Afterward, I received an Associates Degree in Baking & Pastry from Johnson & Wales University, and studied pastry at Ecole Ducasse in France. Before, during, and after school, I worked at Salamander Resort and a few small (or now large!) bakeries, including B. Doughtnut, Dolce & Ciabatta, and Knead Doughnuts in Providence, Rhode Island. Two and a half years ago when I began my business, I was welcomed and honored to be part of EatLoco Farmers Markets in One Loudoun and LVHMC in Leesburg. On paper I have studied and accomplished all I could have asked to, and although I have found real and true joy and life long relationships in these, nothing prepared me for the real and true joy of being part of your special days. They have quickly become my special days, too. Thousands of cakes and cookies later, I feel like the luckiest lady to be living my dream right where it started. Thank you so much for your interest in my favorite thing in the world!

My Process & Timeline
STEP ONE - Inquiry
It starts with a form submission below! Please choose cake or cookies (or both!) along with detailed information about flavors, pricing, including segments for custom details.
STEP TWO - Response
I will return your inquiry with an email response as soon as I possibly can. Please check your spam; sometimes an email from someone like me is grouped elsewhere. My busiest production days are Monday-Thursday, and admin days are on Friday. While I try to answer messages of all kinds each morning, some weeks this is not possible. I need to maintain balance for sanity, efficiency, and high quality product of the current weeks' requirements and expectations. Friday is when I can get to the bulk of all messages that I receive during the week. Please submit all inquiries as soon as possible.
STEP TWO 1/2 - Discussion
Custom is custom. Colors. Names. Inspiration. Sketches. Please send photos that may align with your vision, decor you may be using, special images, favorite things, etc.
STEP THREE - Confirmation
This is when we both agree on details! At this time, I do not require a deposit for confirmation. This is subject to change. Absolutely all details will be sorted no later than two weeks before your event.
STEP FOUR - Collection and Payment
I reserve time on Fridays for pick ups and payment simultaneously. This allows myself time to spend with family, friends, and my own self on weekends, and to properly recharge for the coming weeks' orders.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time understanding and receiving all information I may provide to you - to ease what may be a stressful time planning. I hope it is equally exciting! My dream and goal every single day is to create something unique, beautiful, delicious, and timeless for you and all who you are excited to eat cake (or cookies) with. I sleep better at night knowing I've talked about cake as much as I possibly can.
Thank you for this dream I get to live.
